for parents and children the world over

  1. “Calling My Children Home,” by Emmylou Harris
  2. “One Morning,” by Gillian Welch
  3. Masters of War,” by Scott Amendola & Carla Bozulich
  4. “Abide with Me,” by Perri Alleyne

And this is nicely done, too.

MP3 files are posted for evaluation purposes only. Availability is limited: usually 24 hours. Through this site, I’m trying to share and promote good music with others, who will also hopefully continue to support these artists. Everyone is encouraged to purchase music and concert tickets for the artists you feel merit your hard earned dollars. If you hold copyright to one of these songs and would like the file removed, please let me know.

  1. I still occasionally wish I had bought the one that said “God Bless Chinese Magnetic Ribbon Makers.”
(Though not enough to actually search for and/or buy it online. I’m apathetic lately.)

  2. Thanks for the music previews. I epsecially like the Emmylou Harris.
Is there some kind of special trick to putting the music up? I tried to copy a file over from my iTunes onto my server at campus. The file ftp’ed over jsut fine, but when I tried to link to it, I couldn’t get it to play or even to be available for download. If there’s some really basic step that you know, wouldja mind passing it along?

  3. Hmm. Well, here’s what I do:

    1. I drag the track from iTunes to the desktop.
    2. I use Fetch (free for academics) to upload.
    3. I create a link to the file on the server.

It’s perhaps important to note that the tracks I put up are mp3s, and that I did not buy them online but converted them from CDs.
Could it be that the server you’re using blocks access to mp3s?
