what to do in new york

Among the things I’d like to do while on our brief trip to New York next week is see a play. Peter Marks and Mel Gussow review Caryl Churchill’s latest in today’s Washington Post and New York Times, respectively.

Hey! A revival of Sheridan’s 1775 comedy The Rivals is reviewed in the Times.

  1. Hi,
I am from New York, I would suggest the NY Museum of Natural History. In addition, there is Madam Touseu’s (I think thats how you spell it???) Wax Museum in Time Square…very nice. Lastly, you might want to get a nice cup of coffee or cocoa because it is cold right now…somewhere in the high 40’s to low 50’s so there is a nice little lounge on West Fourth across from NYU’s Stern School of Business [my school] called “At The Square”.
    Hope that helps,
    HZS

  2. Thanks for the suggestions, Hakim, but I can’t help but smile when you say that temperatures “somewhere in the high 40’s to low 50’s” are cold. I went to a conference at NYU a little more than 3 years ago and really liked that part of the city.
